RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1798014

People

(Reporter: federico.targetti, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0

Steps to reproduce:

Wanted to use the touchpad two-finger gesture to scroll web pages.

Acer TravelMate P645-S
Windows 10 64bit (Version 21H2)
Firefox 110.0 64bit
Synaptics driver 19.1.3.9

Actual results:

After updating Firefox to v110, the two-finger scrolling gesture stopped working. It does not work on any web site.

It was working fine in previous versions.

It works perfectly in Chrome or MS-Edge.

Expected results:

Touchpad scrolling should work.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Panning and Zooming' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Panning and Zooming
Product: Firefox → Core

I do confirm that Firefox 109.0.1 is working as expected and Firefox Nightly 112.0a1 does not work at all.
In the past I had issues (resolved) with the touchpad on the very same laptop: see bug 1511901.

Could this be a duplicate of bug 1798014? If so, this support article may be of use.

Thank you very much!
It's the XBMC conflict and the support article solved the issue.
