Details |
STR:
- use macOS 13
- open about:debugging
- enable USB debugging
Actual:
A dialog appears. It says that adb can not be opened because the developer is not verified. You can only move the file to the trash or cancel.
Expected:
I can use USB debugging.

I know I was seeing this dialog at some point, but it wasn't preventing me from actually debugging Firefox
I don't see the dialog anymore (on 12.6), not sure if I did something in the meantime

We got other reports for this as well
Seems like https://github.com/mozilla/devtools-adb-extension/pull/26 would help
Another thing to note is that you can install adb on your machine (see https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/), and about:debugging will directly use it.
Hope this helps!

brew install android-platform-tools
is an easy workaround.

With https://github.com/mozilla-extensions/devtools-adb-extension/releases/tag/0.0.8 now available, macos users should no longer have any warning when enabling USB devices.
