I've tried to play with various prefs, but I can't seem to get rid of the ALLOC_TRIGGERs, even just to test how much they affect performance. One gets those slices usually closer to the end of the full run of the benchmark.

We are also keeping too much memory alive. Bug 1821293 has some preliminary investigations.
