User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0

Steps to reproduce:

I dragged a tab to the tab bar of another window (in order to move the tab).

Actual results:

Everything happened as if I hadn't released the mouse button. I had to click (at the wanted position) to end the tab-dragging.

Expected results:

The mouse button release should have been taken into account.

Note: It seems that Firefox was taking CPU time, and AFAIK, this was the first time I had such an issue.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Tabbed Browser

I am not able to reproduce on Ubuntu 20.04 using FF builds 109.0, 110.0, 112.0a1. If I drag a tab to a new tab window this is opened on the new window, when mouse released.
Can you please attach the information from about:support page.
Also does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile
Thank you.

If no update will be provided, issue will be marked as incomplete. Thank you.

I couldn't reproduce the bug, even with the same profile. I suspect that it would occur on rare occasions.

I'm attaching the about:support contents, but note that I had upgraded to FF 111 (still Debian's package) in the mean time.
