I do not know why there is still no very useful solution to the problem. The American people do not think about other countries?
The problem is as follows: users from other countries have to change the layout of their keyboard every time and switch their system language into English. Very often you forget to do this and begin to print the address of the site in your native language, you notice and delete, switch the layout and print again. This is torment.
95% of domains are registered in English.
I propose to Firefox developers to fulfill the dream of many users and make a set of text in the address bar always in English (Latin). If there is a need to write the site address in your native language, then implement a button in the address bar or hot keys.
The extension that exactly performed this function, but it no longer works and is not supported by the developers, is called "URLCorrector" (https://addons.thunderbird.net/RU/firefox/addon/urlcorrector/).

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
