Only one of three address books were synced to the Palm (Palm started with blank
address book).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) With new install of Mozilla 1.2 release.
2) Wiped out address on Palm using Palm Desktop.
3) Synced. Palm Address Book now empty.
4) Installed Mozilla conduit.
5) Started Mozilla.
6) Checked address books and exiting.
7) Synced with Palm

Actual Results:

Only only address book of 3 synced (Business). The other two address books
(default Personal Address Book, Polly )were not transferred to the Palm. Nor
were categories created for them.

Repeated Sync, no change.

Using Palm Desktop 4.1.

Expected Results:
All items were synced.
After you have done the palm sync please close Mozilla (if it is running in
turbo mode please exit that too) and then restart Mozilla and check the address
book.
Summary: Palm AB Sync does not synchronise all address books → Palm Sync does not synchronise all address books
Please ignore the above comment, that is for checking the addresses synced on to
Mozilla AB not Palm :)

Using Palm Desktop 4.1.

I can also confirm that only some address books are synced.

I tried with two different Palms, one with 14 address books, and one with 10
address books. In each case about 1/3 of the address books will not show up. I
tried clearing out the address books and re-syncing with identical results.

Note 1: Some of the missing address books appear under Edit | Preferences |
Mail&Newsgroups | Addressing on the list of Directory Servers, but don't seem to
be of any use there.

Note 2: After uninstalling the Palm Sync for Mozilla, a sync to the Palm Desktop
software correctly loads all address books into the Palm desktop.

I, for one, would like to see control over which address books in Mozilla are
marked for synchronization with the Palm. For example, I don't want Collected
Addresses book synchronized, or QuickList, but I do want Personal and Business.
Secconded !!.
I don't really want these collected addresses in my palm.
But it is much better than having no adresses :-)
Please try again with Mozilla 1.3 to see if all address books are synchronized.

Bug# 190034 covers the feature to control the direction of a HotSync.
