Bug 1824173 was comment only, so this is likely a result of the recent bug 1783248 enabling the checking of prefs and I've just happened to tickle the tests that were affected by this.

At a quick glance these tests probably aren't setting those prefs, but they could do with a little closer examination.

I will be working on this, specifically I will only report pref changes as a failure in test-verify if and only if we have a list of preferences to ignore.
