Details
(Keywords: regression)
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0
Steps to reproduce:
Load Amazon Prime video / start watching something / exit FF / reload AP after exiting FF, or NOT exiting FF (does not matter)
Actual results:
After release of FF 111 (any version so far) AP website does not load correctly or at all. Tab will just display a spinning circle in the middle of the tab.
If site loads (rare) buttons do not work.
Expected results:
Website should load and buttons should work. There is no problem with prior version of FF. This only effects FF 111, and any later version so far. There is no problem with EDGE or CHROME.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thank you for the report. Can you see any relevant messages in the Web Console (Hamburger menu to right of URL -> More Tools -> Web Developer Tools -> Console)?

- The bug is in 111.0 and 111.01, not 110.xx. 110.xx works perfectly. The bug showed up instantly with 111.xx upgrades.
I have not looked in the web developer's console. I downgraded to 110.06, and do not want to go through the hassle of upgrading to 111.01 to look at the web console and then downgrade again so I can use Amazon.
Note: On first load of Amazon Prime Video things work on FF 111.xx. It is subsequent loading that the bug shows itself. The only way I can get Amazon Prime to work again is to manually clean EVERYTHING (history, cookies, web data etc.), and even then it takes a reboot of Windows to get it to work. Then, it only works once.
Finally, along with the issues mentioned in the bug report, FF 111.xx is VERY SLOW to exit memory. It can take as long as 2 or 3 minutes before all background processes close after exiting FF. Again, this does not happen prior to 111.xx.

I am unconvinced this is a Core::Audio/Video: Playback bug because it is the Amazon Prime website that does not load or function. As mentioned above, when the website does load properly and the buttons work the videos play fine.

Load Amazon Prime video / start watching something / exit FF / reload AP after exiting FF, or NOT exiting FF (does not matter)
After release of FF 111 (any version so far) AP website does not load correctly or at all. Tab will just display a spinning circle in the middle of the tab.
So basically -
- Open Firefox
- navigate to amazon prime
- log in and begin watching a movie or show
- close firefox
- open Firefox
- navigate to amazon prime
- log in and try to watch something
At step seven the page fails to load properly? Could you use our screenshot tool (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/take-screenshots-firefox) to grab a screen shot of the broken amazon web page?
