Affected versions

  • 112.0b7
  • 111.0.1

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10
  • macOS 12

Preconditions

  • browser.search.region to DE
  • extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supportedCountries to DE
  • have at least one CC already saved

Steps to reproduce

  1. Reach the payment form on https://www.mytheresa.com/
  2. Using autofill feature, hover over any saved CC entry to check the autofill preview
  3. Select any CC entry in order to autofill the fields
  4. Right click on any filed and choose "Clear autofill form"

Expected result

  • Form autofill/preview/clear should be applied on eligible fields.

Actual result

  • The CC dropdown is not triggered inside the Card Name field.
  • The preview is only applied for the selected field.
  • Clear option is available on the field from where the entry selection was done and the clear action is done only for that particularly field.

Regression range

  • Not a recent regression.

Additional notes

  • On Chrome, the functionality works for the most part, except for the Card name field, that seams to work independently.

:Anca, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

Reverified this using Firefox Nightly 139.0a1 (2025-04-02), on Windows 11, and the issue is no longer reproducible. The CC dropdown is now triggered for the Card Name field and the Card Name field works independently from the rest of the fields, which is expected due to the fact that the Card Name field is part of the main frame.
If the autofill is triggered from the Card Number field or Expiry date fields, all fields are autofilled/cleared accordingly.
