I have modified it a bit to increase the run time. Please see the attached standalone testcase.

We spend some time in non-ion path in a lot of functions. I have filed this in case there is anything obvious to improve here.

Nightly is faster and this is a demo. So there is little point in tuning heuristics and there are higher priority bugs.
