Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 10; MAR-LX2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/111.0.0.0 Mobile Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I just overscrolled the GeckoView. I mean scrolling to the top or bottom in GeckoView (not Android components).

Actual results:

The GeckoView gives a jerky feeling. I mean bounce back or jumping effect. This is decreasing the stability and smoothness. The issue was started from v85.

Expected results:

It should perform only Glowing effect. The main factor is it's considered personally. I didn't like it but you may like. So there should be an option to the GeckoView to enable/disable the edge effect (jumping/jerking/bouncing). I expected that Mozilla will give an option in the latest release but they didn't. Actually what they want? Why did they add the effect?

Product: Fenix → GeckoView
Version: Firefox 114 → unspecified
