Steps to reproduce:

Browsers used:

  • Firefox Developer Edition, 113.0b3 (64-bit), Windows 11
  • Firefox, 112.0 (64-bit), Windows 11
Note: If this is indeed not just due to something in my setup it may be a new bug introduced since 112.0 and not specific to Dev Edition - I haven't tried downgrading or checking Nightly.

Go to https://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp.

Play the example video.

Hover into the controls area coming from the bottom of the video. Click on the progress bar (making sure to not move your mouse during/right after the click).

See videos (attaching zip broke bug submission, will attach one here and one in a comment)

Actual results:

As in FirefoxDevEdition.mp4: controls do not display when entering the video from the bottom - only when leaving the controls area and entering the main video area. When user clicks on the progress bar, it disappears.

Expected results:

As in FirefoxDefault.mp4: controls display on hover from the bottom and do not disappear when clicking the progress bar.

The bug submission issue I was having was because the zip was too big, and one video is too big. Uploaded them to streamable:

FirefoxDevEdition.mp4: https://streamable.com/73yv7a

FirefoxDefault.mp4: https://streamable.com/73yv7a
