The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Same issue here, Firefox 112.0.1 (64 bit) flatpak.
Disabling site font (browser.display.use_document_fonts=0) shows text.
Using platform font (i.e.: serif) shows text.
Disabling hardware acceleration does not fix the issue.
Maybe some issue with specific font type/format?
I noticed that using Firefox to capture pages shows all text, I used Spectacle to show the issue.

Same issue using nouveau
driver instead of NVIDIA.
Hum... Something strange I noticed is that only AppArmor based distro seem to be affected. I installed openSUSE MicroOS, which is basically the same as Tumbleweed except it uses SELinux instead, and it works. May just be a coincidence, but may also be a lead. Can anyone try on Fedora?

Tested on a different PC, Kubuntu, X11, Flatpak... It works as expected.

Seem to be a duplicate of this bug : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1827950
Updating to the latest Firefox beta (113.0b5) resolves it (albeit with strange looking fonts)

Removing the Ubuntu package xfonts-100dpi fixes the issue!
Thank you.
