STR:
- Open Firefox for iOS
- Navigate to the search bar and start entering anything, I.e. “g”
- Using VoiceOver navigate to the list with auto suggest results and review the “Button” button
- Using Voice Control attempt to activate any specific button using its label name as a command: “Tap Button”
Expected:
I am not sure what is the purpose of these buttons, but guessing from the visual icon it may be a button to open this auto suggested website in a new tab vs the same tab if you just activate the name of the suggested site? If so:
- VoiceOver would name the control as, possibly, “Open {Google} in a new tab” button
- Voice Control activated the button by calling it’s label: “Open {Google}”
Actual:
- VO: multiple “Button”
- VC user needs to call “Tab button” and then choose an option
On-screen labels should be included in the accessible name of controls, because it would create equal experience for all users. All controls should be labeled.
