Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/112.0
Steps to reproduce:
I am using Firefox 112.0.1 (64-bit) with all plugins disabled and Windows 11 on my laptop (Laptop is important for touch-pad).
This bug started 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Steps:
- Open Firefox NOT in full screen mode. (Browser tabs and Windows taskbar are still visible)
- Play video (for example on YouTube) and open the video in full screen.
- Go to Windows desktop by using 3 or 4 finger down gesture on touch-pad.
- Go back to Firefox.
Actual results:
Firefox opens in full screen mode. (Browser tabs and Windows taskbar are not visible anymore). And the video that is either paused or playing is not even in full screen anymore.
To fix this, every time I need to press F11 to exit Firefox full screen mode and open the video in full screen mode again.
Expected results:
After going back Firefox should not require pressing F11 to restore the original mode and the video should still be in full screen.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this on my Windows 10 laptop. My YT video was still in full-screen mode when I went back to Fx after going to Windows desktop by using 3 or 4 fingers down gesture on touchpad. Can you reproduce this in trouble shooting mode?

When you go to Windows desktop by using 3 or 4 fingers down gesture on touchpad, you should be able to see multiple desktops (e.g., Desktop 1, Desktop 2, ...,. etc), and the desktop you just left should keep playing video in full screen mode. Does the video keep playing in full-screen mode
BTW, can you reproduce this on another computer you have, as long as you can go the Task View (multiple virtual desktops)?

It seems like a similar issue to bug 1823284, which has now been fixed in Nightly. beibovaneki, do you still reproduce this on latest Nightly? Thanks!

It's the same in trouble shooting mode.
Multiple desktops show when I go 3 or 4 fingers up. In this case everything works correctly. I have a problem only on 3 or 4 fingers down gesture when going directly to desktop.
Another thing I can think of is that my screen is 16:10. Some transitions between apps take longer because of that.
While I do have another laptop it is very old. Although blinking, it is probably never going to turn on again. I can't try it there.
Didn't know what Nightly was. Tried it and it works correctly there. It might be fixed there.

Thanks for your help to check, then I think bug 1823284 fixes this as well.
