If I enter a URL which I have not previousely visited (with this browser) it does not go to it. I have to do a search, and then bookmark it before it will go to URL.

When I enter a URL and press return, the browser ignores me. When I press search
it gives me an address not found error. But when I do a google search, and go to
the page from google and then bookmark it, it follows the bookmarks. So far I've
hade to do this for globeandmail.com, sciencedaily.com, spacedaily.com,
inquirer.com.
Also, it didn't bring my favorites over from explorer.

Actual Results:
It only happened in the first instance of the program I brought up. Any other
instances worked fine.
I had just installed last night. This was the second time I worked with mozilla,
and I was using the modern theme.

sorry for the problems after 2 days .
What is your history settings in the pref ?
Can you please try this :
close mozilla, locate your profile (see the release notes) and do this :
Delete the file "history.dat" in your profile.
The IE bookmarks bug is known. You can export the favorites as html file (from
IE) and import it in mozilla.
