User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.22; Mac_PowerPC) Build Identifier: www.mozilla.org (and versiontracker.com...both 1.2) I have just installed the general release 1.2 after running the beta for some time flawlessly. Since installing the most recent release, it freezes on the flash screen (goes past "starting up" and freezes on "creating first window"). I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.launch app 2.freeze 3. Actual Results: exactly that... Expected Results: actually launched. Running on a TiBook with OSX10.2.2. I have rebooted the machine and had the same result.
Ian, can you reproduce this problem using another Mozilla user profile?
Keywords: hang
Summary: freeze on startup with new install → Mozilla 1.2 hangs on start-up
I can not get it to launch at all, though Netscape 7 starts up without a problem. I only have one profile and will try to create another to test this...that Netscape starts up is interesting though?!?! Best, /ijk
Never use the same profile for mozilla and netscape. Use the profile manager icon to create a new profile. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 144027 ***
