Affected versions
- 114.0a1 (2023-04-27) (.deb package)
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: Ubuntu 18.04 Gnome
- Unaffected platforms: Ubuntu 22.10 Gnome
Preconditions
- Have multiple bookmarks and browser history inside Chrome
Steps to reproduce
- Delete all Firefox data (open about:profile and delete .mozilla directory from both Root and Local Directories)
- Open Firefox RC for a profile to be created and close it.
- Open Firefox .deb and import data from Chrome.
- After the process is finished, shut down the system while Firefox is running.
- Open the system and try to open firefox.deb.
Expected result
- Firefox is started as expected.
Actual result
- Firefox .deb is not starting.
Additional notes
- We believe that this issue may be intermittent. We initially reproduced it on two Ubuntu 18.04 stations twice on each, then we was never able to reproduce it anymore (happens first times).
- Opening Firefox.deb with another profile works as expected. We believe that the profile is corrupted.
