Spinning this off from bug 1828325 based on a screenshot of broken preferences UI there. (I haven't tested/reproduced myself at this point.)

STR:

  1. Set a Japanese OpenType font like Morisawa's ShinGo as your OS font, so that it gets used in the Firefox UI like about:preferences. (The reporter happens to be doing this in Linux.)
  2. Visit about:preferences and search for "Fonts" and click the "Advanced..." button

ACTUAL RESULTS:
The dialog contents (specifically the "Cancel|OK" buttons) get clipped at the bottom, as shown in the screenshot.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
The dialog should be sized to its content, or have sufficient padding that this won't be an issue regardless of user selected font.
