Steps to reproduce:

When I use text boxes in Firefox — such as username and password on https://accounts.google.com — my xkbcomp settings are modified. This means I cannot enter information into the web browser, and indeed, can no longer use the keyboard as I had it configured in other Linux applications either. This happens reliably whenever I use Firefox.

Actual results:

Xkbcomp setting disappear and I need to run a command in the terminal to get them back.

Expected results:

I should be able to use xkbcomp across all applications without it being reset.

This was also reported on webcompat.com, where it was stated to occur on the Canonical Snap version of Firefox. It would be good to confirm if it's specific to the Snap version.
