When watching youtube videos, at least on Linux, the damage reported to the windowing system is bigger than necessary (see attached images - the damaged area has red overlay). This is detrimental to performance and especially battery time.
This is both with the default EGL backend as well as the experimental "compositor" one. I'm pretty sure this is a regression, but have yet to bisect.

Oof, yeah, indeed - and turning it of makes firefox report only the video area. Ok, sorry for the noise then!
