Steps to reproduce:

After Clean Firefox Install on iPad, I can login with Firefox (iPad) to my Paypal account. Everything is fine.
But after that, when I log in to my Account ( https://accounts.firefox.com/) to synchronize my bookmarks.
The problem with PayPal begins
I have iOS 16.5 an Firefox newest version 113.1

Actual results:

On the Paypal website I can enter my username and password. I do not get to the point where I can verify myself by clicking via SMS. Instead, I get a message: We can not log you in!
Safari works always fine. A log out from Firefox sync does not solve the problem. Only a clean install and no login at accounts.firefox.com helps to solve the problem.
I have opened up another Firefox account only to test with a fresh account. Unfortunately also the same problem.

The same strange behavior happens with my iPhone and Firefox!

Expected results:

A normal Login with username and Passwort with possibility to verify me per SMS instead getting message : We can not log you in.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Cloud Services::Server: Firefox Accounts' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can't explain how Sync could be involved in this, but this component looks better than the FxA one.

My hypothesis was signing in to sync was pulling an outdated password from sync which prevented log in from that point forward, but yeah, it's hard to follow. I think going through support.mozilla.org would be a better route to get help, to be honest.

Thanks for reply. If no one can reproduce the error. I'm probably alone.

My password is not in Firefox Sync, but in my Enpass app. I don't have that much trust in morzilla.

I think it's a mozilla bug.

All other browsers I have tested are working fine.
