Steps to reproduce:
Using Beta (114.0b9) does not cause this bug to appear but Nightly does.
This issue affects certain apps but not all.
Amazon app for example still seems to work as intended.
- Install Materialistic HackerNews reader or Joey for Reddit 3rd party Reddit client
- Open a hackernews thread like https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35886052 or Reddit page like https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/
- Open the additional options menu via the ellipses/three dots on the navbar
Actual results:
The nine dots grid option for "Open in app" is not displayed in the menu
Expected results:
The nine dots grid for "Open in app" should be displayed in the menu

This should be investigated. Though Materialistic is not default app for reddit for ycombination.com, there should be a workaround for this.

Thank you for the report!
I was not able to reproduce this with the latest versions of Firefox for Android Nightly 126.0a1, Beta 125.0b7, nor 124.2.0, using an Oppo Find N2 Flip (Android 14) device.
Could you retest, and let us know the results?
Also, what device did you used?

Confirmed that this cannot be reproduced using Materialistic with https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35886052. I can still reproduce with Reddit. But this shows that this is due to how the third party app is implemented, not how Firefox for Android is implemented. Closing this issue as resolved. Thanks
