Affected versions

  • Nightly 115.0a1 (2023-05-29)

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: Windows 10

Preconditions

  • browser.search.region to US
  • extensions.formautofill.addresses.capture.v2.enabled = true

Steps to reproduce

  1. Reach the address form on https://walmart.com
  2. Fill in manually new Address info and submit the form

Expected result

  • The complete address should be captured and stored with all the available info.

Actual result

  • The Name and Street address fields are not captured in the Address save doorhanger and not saved in the Address manager.

Regression range

  • N/A

Additional notes

:ailea, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

walmart by default sets your name in the address. When the first name and last name field have a value, the website sets autocomplete=new-password for the name fields. As for the street-address field, it always has autocomplete=new-password regardless the field has value or not.

Because for fields that have autocomplete=new-password, we don't consider it as a address field, that is why we don't save address for those fields.

Hi Alin, could you help test Chrome's behavior? Thank you!

I verified this in Chrome and the save/update address doorhanger is not displayed at all there. Also, the autofill is not working for the street address field.

The correct solution would be for Walmart not to use autocomplete=new-passsword for those address fields. Therefor, I will close this bug as WON'T FIX
