Details
There should be a general feature to assiciate a delay time with any
filter action. For example, "move to folder XXX - N days after mail was received"
or "delete - N days after mail was put in this folder", "Assign label overdue -
N days after mail was received" and so on. IMO such way to delay actions would
make sense for all possible actions.
Of course, the next step would be to allow several actions of the same type
with different delays - e.g. assign label "work" when received and "overdue"
N days afterwards.

Not a dup, but related. Bug 59365 is about a user's actions which should be
able to trigger filtering (and there are more triggers thinkable than
mentioned in that bug) - this bug is about a delayed execution of
a action caused by a filter.
The relationship one could see is that the delay could be
made also relative to the triggers mentioned in bug 59365, or other triggers, e.g.
perform the move message action of a filter N days after the message was last
read or N days after filters were last run on this message.
To put it into different words: this bug is about the ability to *schedule*
a filter action for sometime in the future instead of doing it at the time
when the filter is run, as it is now.

Marking dependency on bug 59365 so it doesn't get lost. Surely whatever
mechanism is used to schedule the exeecution of a filter will also be used to
schedule the execution of the filter's action.
Depends on: 59365
