Desktop image appears as a rectangle in front of the browser.

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Start Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon VMWare client on Windows10 HOME 64bit host machine.
2. Start Nightly116.0a1
3. Move mouse on the New Tab page

Actual Results:
The desktop image appears as a rectangle in front of the browser.

Webrender(software) does not seem to be affected, as it is not reproducible in 102.12esr.

I can reproduce the issue.

FWIW,
The problem is not reproduced on Nightly116.0a1 sw-wr (mozregression --launch 2023-06-06 --pref gfx.webrender.software:true).

I assume then this is just how bug 1815481 looks on X11.
