Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 116.0a1 (2023-06-06) (64-bit)

Preconditions:
Clean profile

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to: https://weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/l/8d8ffaae7a093388e71a59e7113b3a9fe73e6b7fca20d60c25754bc7cc260397
  2. Scroll the page.
  3. Observe the "Radar" section.

Expected Behavior:
The page performs as expected.

Actual Behavior:
An increase in resource usage (CPU and Memory) is observed.

Notes:

  • Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  • Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
  • Works as expected using Chrome.
  • Reproducible for other sections of the page that have the "Radar" feature.
  • Performance profile attached: https://share.firefox.dev/3OVYNdh

Verified this issue and could not reproduce it on Firefox versions 122 and 124.
