Details
For Safari 17, WebKit has updated their cssText implementation in this bug to better-match what Chromium is doing and the spec. The web platform test situation now looks pretty complicated for these tests:
- https://wpt.fyi/results/css/cssom/shorthand-values.html
- https://wpt.fyi/results/css/css-backgrounds/parsing/border-shorthand.html
- https://wpt.fyi/results/css/css-masking/parsing/mask-valid.sub.html
- https://wpt.fyi/results/css/css-multicol/parsing/column-rule-shorthand.html
- https://wpt.fyi/results/css/cssom/shorthand-values.html
It may be good to make sure cssText serialization interop is solid, as we don't seem to have any platform counters for it.

AFAICT the only remaining Firefox failures in the listed tests are in https://wpt.fyi/results/css/css-masking/parsing/mask-valid.sub.html which is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=877294
