User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021126 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021126 When using Mozilla on a dialup connection, 95% of the time Mozilla will timeout before my modem will connect to my ISP resulting in an error dialog. This prevents me from doing any kind of automated mail checking, and is a substantial obsticle to interactive sessions. This also causes problems when sending messages and saving copies on the IMAP server if my routers connection times out while composing a message, Mozilla will not wait long enough when it tries to send or save the message. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Mozilla or select the 'Check Mail' function 2. Dial-Up router begins connection process 3. Mozilla reports a timeout connecting to the SMTP/POP/IMAP/NNTP server 4. Connection established with ISP 5. Click dialog box and retry command. Actual Results: Error dialog was presented saying the server timed out. Expected Results: Waited a more reasonable amount for the server to respond. Not everyone has an always on, broadband connection. 30 seconds (as it appears) does not seem reasonable.
