User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/114.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In Gmail click a Chat username.
  2. From Google Chat personal home page click Start Chat

Actual results:

  1. Nothing.
  2. Translucent modal frame window pops up; nothing inside; it's blank.

Expected results:

  1. Chat page should open and allow me to chat.
  2. Popup should display chat.

It doesn't appear Google is playing nice with Mozillia; I guess upgrades are not being shared or followed.

Attachment #9341991 - Attachment is obsolete: true

I am not able to reproduce the issue on Win10x64 using FF build 114.0(20230529085652), I was able to send a message through chat.
Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables add-ons, extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems.) See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Flags: needinfo?(dallas)

Yes; safe mode solves it every time.
I just turned safe mode off and will report when it acts up again.
