User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021203 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021203 Each Xmas-time I run into the same problem: Some site like to make the surfers angry by adding these stupid snowfall-Scripts to their pages. This one from clanintern almost(?) freezes mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Log into an internal Clansite with Javascript enabled 2. 3. Actual Results: Mozilla freezes (or gets sloooooow, to slow to wait). Expected Results: Showing snowflakes? :D Well, it's kind'o strange that eg. Navigator 0.6 (Build ID: 2002110415) does not lock up, it's slow but shows the snowflakes.. Workaround is to disable JS in browser.
i can't see a freeze and it's not very slow on win2k and a 1.3Ghz Athlon marking as dupe of bug 64516 (95-99% CPU usage for dhtml "snow effect") *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 64516 ***
