AR: The filter is applied as a diagonal on teh demo-pane
ER: The filter should be applied uniformally
Can repro on a build from Jan2021. So this is not a new regression.

Probably not directly as a result of changing the gradient shaders. It looks like something wrong is happening while generating a repeated pattern, so maybe it will be fixed once bug 1887841 lands and is used in the right places.
