Steps to reproduce:

When I try to write an email or a newsgroup posting, I often must wait a long time (windows says no response), because indexing is running.

Actual results:

I often must wait a long time (more than a minute).

Expected results:

If I write an email or posting I want to write without a delay. Therefore indexing should be moved to a new thread.

Do you still experience the wait when using version 128?

Given that we are headed to a new database in the coming year(s), I think there are less disruptive things we'd do before going to a worker thread https://mzl.la/4k6nj7S

I haven't had this problem recently. I use Betterbird 128.10.0. If the problem does occur again, I will report it.
