Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 117.0a1 (2023-07-13) (64-bit)

Preconditions:
Clean profile

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to: https://map.baidu.com
  2. Allow the page to access your current location of the device.
  3. Observe the result in the resource used b.

Expected Behavior:
The CPU usage is normal.

Actual Behavior:
The CPU usage is high.

Notes:

  • Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  • Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
  • Works as expected using Chrome.
  • GPU usage is the same as compared to Chrome.

Verified this issue and could not reproduce it on Firefox versions 122 and 124.
