Details
(Keywords: hang)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.2.1/mozilla-macosX-1.2.1.smi.bin
I've twice downloaded and installed Mozilla 1.2.1 for Mac OS X. (I'm running
X.2.1) Both time, the same problem has occurred:
On the Mozilla "splash" screen, it reads that it is starting Mozilla, then that
it is "generating first page." This is where it hangs up. Nothing happens. I
am able to quit Mozilla, but no matter how long I wait, that first page does not
generate. Thus, the program simply won't function.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Install Mozilla.
Launch.
Actual Results:
As I said, it freezes on the opening splash screen.
I wish I could supply more data on this, but the inability to run 1.2.1 makes
this impossible. 1.1 still runs quite well for me (and yes, I do remember to
quit 1.1 before installing and launching 1.2.1).
Try to delete the file chrome.rdf insie your profile folder.
