Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 117.0a1 (2023-07-17) (64-bit)

Preconditions:
Clean profile
An account was previously created.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to:https://myedd.edd.ca.gov/s/scplogin?language=en_US
  2. Perform account login after successfully passing the security verification processes.
  3. Click on the logout button located in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Observe the result.

Expected Behavior:
The account logout process is successfully performed.

Actual Behavior:
An error message and several redirects are observed before the account is logged out.

Notes:

  • Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  • Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
  • Works as expected using Chrome.

Verified this issue and it's still reproducible on Firefox 124 in a certain way, it redirects to a page displaying "Access Denied".

Edit: Turns out its an ETP Strict issue now but only on Firefox Nightly.

Environment:
Operating system: Windows 10
Browsers: Firefox Nightly 124.0a1 (2024-01-30) / Firefox Release 122 / Chrome 121.0.6167.86

Note:

  • Not reproducible on Chrome and Firefox Release
  • VPN pointing to US
Blocks: tp-breakage
Component: Desktop → Privacy: Anti-Tracking
Product: Web Compatibility → Core
Summary: Account logout is not successfully performed at edd.ca.gov → "Access Denied" page displayed when trying to log out on edd.ca.gov with Strict ETP
Version: Firefox 117 → Firefox 124

Since the status is marked as affected for nightly and as unaffected for release, is it affected or unaffected for beta?

Hi Calin: 2 of us were unable to reproduce this in our weekly meeting today. Does it still reproduce for you? Any tips to repro the bug?
