Steps to reproduce:
We added tab groups in v4. Then in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1222550 we removed them again, under the claim that "it wasn't popular enough". Then Chrome introduced them in 2020 and it's one of the reasons people stick now with Chrome because tab management has only become more important over the years, not less.
This is one of those features that in retrospect should never have been removed, but since it was, should definitely be put back in. And not as an extension, but as "this is what browsers should be able to do, as universal behaviour".

Hey, :pomax, was this intended to be filed under Firefox for Windows? The product Fenix is Firefox for Android.
Oh that's odd, that should have just been desktop Firefox (not specifically windows)

Is this bug a duplicate of bug 1509350 ?
Could be, but that bug does not link to the work the removed tab groups as concrete pointer for what to undo.
"to the work that removed". I swear there used to be edit buttons on every comment in bugzilla before, but apparently I don't get those anymore =/
