[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Enter a specific PDF URL- such as https://arxiv.org/pdf/2005.14165.pdf.
2. Right-click and select the "Select All" option from the context menu.
3. Scroll down the page using either the mouse wheel or touchpad.

[Expected result]:

• The blue highlighting of the selected text remains unchanged after scrolling.

[Actual result]:

• After scrolling in Step 3, the blue highlighting expands to include the entire page, including the white background.

[Notes]:

• Scrolling with the touchpad in the laptop creates the same issue.

Hi,
I am able to reproduce this issue in Release 116, Beta 117.0b2 and Nightly 118.0a1 on Windows 10 as well. This is not a recent regression, I am able to reproduce this also in Nightly 82.0a1.

I just retested the issue in Release 151, Beta 152 and Nightly 153 and I cannot reproduce the issue anymore. Only the text in highlighted now, after step 3.

Mozregression points to bug 1972967 as the bug that fixed this one.
