User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Connect Bluetooth headphones to your computer (The issue occurs when I use my Airpods)
- Launch Firefox (I'm using Firefox 115.0.2 on MacOS 13.2.1)
- Open any Youtube (https://youtube.com) video
- Play about 5-10 seconds of the video
- Pause the video
- Switch to another tab (it can be blank) and wait 5-10 seconds
- Switch back to the Youtube video tab
Actual results:
The video starts buffering, but the audio continues forward, and the only way to restart the video is to skip to another time in the video (either with the arrow keys or using the progress bar)
Expected results:
The video should have played normally with no issues
I can also reproduce this in troubleshooting/safe mode, so it's not caused by any extensions I have

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
Now, around 50% of the time I click on a video on Youtube, I don't have to pause, resume, or even click anything; this bug happens right when the video starts.
I just tried this with a different pair of Bluetooth headphones and they work perfectly, so it seems to only be an issue with Airpods specifically
The Airpods having the issue are AirPods Pro (2nd generation)
Here's a profile I took, where I resumed a video while having my Airpods connected, the video buffered, I paused and resumed it, and it continued playing https://share.firefox.dev/3DwIXyA
Ok well I restarted my computer a couple hours ago and haven't run into the bug since. I'll post here if it happens again, and leave it open in case anyone has any ideas on what caused it

So basically, tab switching causes the paused youtube video to continue playing audio but the video never recovers.

Yes, that was the issue, and the video would only recover once you paused and resumed the video. The interesting thing, however, is that I haven't run into this problem since I restarted my computer.
