Preconditions

Have Nightly 117.0a1 or Beta 116.0b8 or newer versions installed.

Steps to reproduce

1. Make sure the app is closed.
2. Install and access the Search widget.
3. Observe the Splash screen.

Expected behavior

The splash screen is displayed.

Actual behavior

The splash screen is not displayed.

Device information

• Firefox version: Beta 116.0b8.
• Android device model: Google Pixel 7
• Android OS version: Android 14

Any additional information?

The splash screen is displayed as expected when launching the app conventionally.

I don't see a splash screen for Android 13 devices either.
Can you please check on what versions the splash screen shows up? Thank you!

This issue is not reproducible on the latest Nightly build (125.0a1 from 2024-03-08), using a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Android 14).
The Splash screen is clearly displayed when accessing the application through the Search widget.
However, using the same Google Pixel 7 (Android 14), as I reproduced this issue on originally, the issue is still reproducible.
The splash screen is not displayed.
The Android 14 is up to date on the Pixel 7.
