Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 for several reasons I increased the amount of RAM in my system, from 196 meg to 512. Before upgrading, mozilla used too much memory (30 meg MEM, 50 meg VM), after upgrading it uses 40- 50 meg MEM, and 50-80 meg VM Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open task manager and mozilla. note MEM Usage and VM Size 2.browse with mozilla 3. Actual Results: MEM Usage and VM Size explode. Expected Results: not used more than executable + memory cache terminating all mozilla tasks and restarting fixes it, but that's a pain.
Are there any particular pages that lead to trouble?
I did a short test. On a fresh start of Mozilla, going back and forth between news.com.com and www.cnn.com caused memory use to slowly increase. Doing a clear memory cache only returned a small portion of the over use. There are a lot of graphics on those sites, no java.
