Affected versions
- 117.0a1 (2023-07-25)
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: macOS 12, macOS 13 ARM
- Unaffected platforms: Ubuntu 22, Windows 10x64
Preconditions
- new macOS profile
- only history saved inside Safari and Safari browser is not closed
Steps to reproduce
- Open Firefox and import History from Safari.
Expected result
- History is imported successfully.
Actual result
- After granting Safari folder permissions the import wizard does not import History.
Regression range
- Not a regression, before bug 1838432 was fixed history alone could no be imported from Safari.
Additional notes
- Attached a screen recording here on a macOS profile that Safari was never closed.
- Restarting Firefox will no longer display Safari as an import option.
- Note that this issue happens only if the Safari browser was not ever closed before and has only History saved.

:atrif, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?
