Actual result

  • Subs are not displayed in PiP

Regression range

  • This is not a regression of the browser, but a change on the max.com that influences how subs are shown in PiP.

:danibodea, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

It's technically a regression because the Captions worked in PiP on HBO Max before it rebranded/relaunched as Max.

I can't easily test on max.com, since it's unavailable for my region. However, if I had to guess, the regression is due to the new domain name. We should add the updated URL to our overrides.

Priority: -- → P3

I assume there's nothing else I can do.

All I know is that if it's as simple as adding the address for the Max.com player to that list then it shouldn't take long once someone commits to it.

I'm knew to Bugzilla, so if there's a way for me to do it I'd appreciate some direction.
