RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1842432

People

(Reporter: therubex, Unassigned)

Details

Load a video (directly):

https://test-videos.co.uk/vids/bigbuckbunny/mp4/h264/1080/Big_Buck_Bunny_1080_10s_30MB.mp4

https://www.videoproductions.com.au/DOH/OPMH/Interviews.mp4

Expected.

Video starts to play back on page load.

Result.

Video does not play - until fully loaded (or at least until a large portion of the video has, at which time it will /then/ automatically start its playback).

FF 115 does not autoplay the video.
FF 114 does autoplay the video.

Didn't see anything mentioned in 115 release notes?
Messing with "autoplay" settings did not help.
(There a bunch of autoplay settings, & how they all interplay [is anyone's guess].)

Dragging a local (or local networked) video into the browser does autoplay.

This should already be fixed by Bug 1842432 in Nightly117.0a1, 116.0rc, and 115.1.0esr.

Sure enough.
Working in 115.1.0esr-candidates/build1/win64/en-US/.

Thanks Alice.
