User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021003 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/2002100308 [ this is not a real bug, but an RFE ] I'd like to have the ability to manage passwords on a per-tab basis. Explanation: When developing web apps, for example in Zope, one needs to have one page with the Zope management screen open, and one other page with the to-be developed application open. More often than not, it would be of advantage to have different identities for these both screens which are preferably to be placed in a tab instead of a full-blown browser instance, for limited resource usage. At least in Zope, the majority of handling of identities is done with Basic Auth and cookies, so there would also be a need to extend this notion to cookies. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Um... right now there is no support for this in separate _windows_ much less separate tabs. This has nothing to do with tabbrowser; you're asking for a rearchitecture of the network library.
