User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

Steps to reproduce:

Add a new Google calendar in TB 115 or 116 (currently Beta). (This worked in older Versions of TB, pre 115).

-> Create Calendar
-> Username: Fill in my Google Username
-> Location: Paste Google Calendar URI
-> Offline Support: Check

Actual results:

Window pops up and I have to fill Google user name and then my password.

The next window requests to plug in the security key (Yubikey in this case), but after a few seconds an Error message appears: "Chrome extension not found" (Translated from German, original message: "Chrome-Erweiterung nicht gefunden"). Below that a link that reads "Install extension" (original message: "Erweiterung installieren"), which links to a non-existing Chrome Extensions: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gnubbyd/beknehfpfkghjoafdifaflglpjkojoco

I'm unable to authenticate with my Yubikey.

Expected results:

The authentication pop up (Chrome?) should successfully forward my security key information to Google and authenticate the calendar access.

Or: Use the default browser over the bundled(?) Chrome(?).

Note: I can 2FA to Google with the installed Firefox (115) and Chromium (115) without issues.

The same message also appeared when I installed Thunderbird 115.01 on MacOS 11.7.9, except my message was in English. It was after I was completing a import from Thunderbird 102.13.1 which included both Google calendars and Google contacts. I was using a Yubikey 2FA for the Google auth. I was able to complete it by using another Google 2FA method.

Mine is a company managed account with no alternative 2FA methods. So my only option is to use the Yubikey and somehow fix this very issue.

@Kevin Frost
I also hit the problem first when importing from <115. But I also tried to recreate the Calendar from scratch: without success/same error.

After updating to Gnome45 and Thunderbird 119.0b2-1, it still doesn't work. But it looks like progression: Now the "2-Step Verification" window is shown, even my Yubikey starts flashing but after tapping it, the "2-Step Verification" window just stays and time out eventually.

Added a new Screenshot.
