Details

Using today's commercial build on Linux (1999-11-10-08), try the following 1. Install the build 2. Launch the browser 3. Type a url, say, "www.yahoo.com", in the Location Box. 4. Now, click on the "Related Links" folder in the Sidebar. 4. From the list, select 'excite' option. 5. Observe that the browser crashes. . Does not happen on commercial build for windows
I just tried this with a tip mozilla build (plus proposed fix for 18464) and I cannot replicate it.

I see this also on 111008 M12 Linux Commercial builds. Clicking on any related link causes a crash. I do not have the patch for 18464, this may fix it.

Waterson checked in a fix for this. I verified that it worked in my build. He used bug #18408 to track the problem. Marking this one as a dupliate.
