Environment:
Operating system: Windows 10
Firefox version: Nightly 118.0a1 (2023-08-02)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://g1.globo.com/pi/piaui/playlist/videos-veja-os-videos-mais-vistos-da-rede-clube.ghtml
  2. Observe the placeholder text from the search bar.

Expected Behaviour:
The placeholder text is fully visible.

Actual Behaviour:
The placeholder text is faded.

Notes:

  1. Screenshot provided
  2. Reproducible on Firefox Release as well
  3. Not reproducible on Chrome
  4. Issue found during WebCompat team [Top100] websites testing

Verified this issue and it's still reproducible on Firefox versions 122 and 124.
