1847155 - Text in URL bar not selected when entering search

Steps to reproduce:

1. open Firefox

2. type some text into url bar, e.g. "test"

3. enter

4. select url bar again

Actual results:

The cursor is put at the end of previously typed text

Expected results:

everything currently in url bar should be selected

currently there is a big usability hit, when selecting the url bar again and typing something new, the old text stays and is prepended unless the user remembers to manually clear it first. this is contrary to long time historical behaviour where directly typing in the url bar overwrites what was there before unless the user manually deselects and thereby keeps the old content. so the current behaviour is opposite what users are used to.
