This is a META bug to track the differences in UI between Chrome and Firefox for certain pages, inside input fields (Year/month/day, etc), usually when performing account sign-up.

Notes:

  • Issue found during WebCompat team [Top100] websites testing.

Could be observed when I tried to create an account on aliexpress.com

Tested on: Windows 10/Firefox Nightly 118.0a1 (2023-08-08)

Reproducible on pinterest.com on various sections of the page.

Reproducible on linkedIn.com for various number input fields (Code verification when creating an account, date of birth inside the account page)
